Events and Projects

Kristi's Klimbers Foundation focuses on helping cancer patients, cancer survivors and others in need of support.

We provide recovery care items (mastectomy bras, head coverings, radiation robes, etc) free mammograms and other support to cancer patients.

Kristi loves nature and is an active hiker and is asking fellow nature lovers, and those who have also been impacted by cancer to help support this cause.

We will be hosting fundraising hiking and running events in the near future.

Mastectomy Bra Giveaway

Thanks to our mastectomy bra sponsors, we plan to give away over 80 mastectomy bras to breast cancer survivors. Our goal is to make the day a little brighter for a woman in need of a mastectomy bra when they receive this gift from us and to let them know we are thinking about them.

3D Mammogram Event

November 6, 2021

We hosted our first on-site mammography 3D mammogram event for uninsured and underinsured women on November 6, 2021.

We were able to provide a full day of free 3D mammograms to women in Arizona.

We would like to dedicate our first event to all cancer survivors and to the memory of those who we have lost.

Here is what some of our participants had to say:

"I have not had a mammogram for over 5 years because I could not afford one. Thank you for your kindness."

"I have been putting off having a mammogram all year but your convenient on-site mammography made it much easier for me to schedule."

Mastectomy Swimsuits

Swimsuit Giveaway

Summer 2021

We're thrilled to report that our first annual Summer Splash mastectomy swimsuit giveaway was a success. It is our mission to provide recovery wear items to help women lead active lives after a breast cancer diagnosis.

Our recipients were referred by our partners at local oncology clinics, and these responses give you an idea of the impact:

"I want to cry, these suits are so beautiful."

"I am so happy to be able to swim again after years
of not wanting to swim in public."

"This was such a great experience!!! I feel so beautiful in my suit  what an incredible thing you do!"

Unlike mastectomy bras and wigs, mastectomy swim suits are not covered by health insurance. Special thanks to Amoena, Amoena.com, and Barbara's Mastectomy Boutique for allowing us to purchase your swimsuits and breast forms at wholesale prices!

3D Mammogram Event

December 9, 2021

We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to provide another full-day of free 3D mammograms to uninsured women who attend Native Health Community Center in Phoenix, AZ yesterday. These screenings took place via on-site mammography by Simon Med.

Thank you again to Desert Diamond Casino West Valley for helping sponsor this event!

On-site mammography makes breast cancer screenings more accessible and convenient for women. These screenings take 15 minutes which is all it takes to save a life. According to the American Society of Clinical Oncology, it is estimated that 281,550 women will have invasive breast cancer this year and over 42,000 women will have noninvasive breast cancer. Early detection of breast cancer means more treatment options and a higher survival rate.
